The 1988 Poster

The Sundial Society was founded in 1978. At its tenth anniversary in 1988, a poster was designed depicting a colourful sundial.
We show a small picture of this poster here, with a larger one of the sundial below.

This work of art is a result of the cooperation of our member Bote Holman with two young artists, Francet van Mackelenberg and Sylvia Laarhuis who, in 1988, were at the beginning of their careers.
The subject for the poster was to be the relation between sun and time; the sundial design reflects it splendidly.
The poster is a silk-screen print, and eight printings were necessary to reproduce its colours.
