Almost polar sundial

A sundial that both declines and reclines can become a polar dial, on which the hour lines run parallel.
In the specimen shown this is almost the case, which is why this page is entitled
“Almost polar sundial".

The sundial was made for Mr Ulbe Anema of the "Anema" lorry company. The logo of the company is on the upper left of the dial.

As well as hour lines, a number of date lines for the anniversaries of some family members were put on.

(Gerlof and Ada share a line for 5 October, their anniversaries being so close together.)
