100 YEARS NATUURMONUMENTEN (Society for the Preservation of Nature)
‘Natuurmonumenten’ exist 100 years on 22 April 2005.On the occasion of this anniversary, the ornamental garden received this sundial.
The sundial indicates apparent solar time.
Three lines indicate the beginning of the four seasons: spring, summer, fall, and winter.
Notice the decorative symbols for bird, fish and leaf.
These three symbols together are Natuurmonumenten’s emblem.
