A sundial in a pond

Ferry Wilbrink’s ‘sundial van’ is parked by a drained pond.
There is diligent measuring and fitting, because a horizontal sundial is to be placed in the pond.
Watch out for the plants, because they were not removed.

The pond is circular, with bank sloping up.
The dial face is also circular, but it is to be adjusted level to the water surface.
In the centre of the pond, a rod provides the polar gnomon.

After placing the ornamental sphere, the pond is filled up and the plants are once more in their usual surroundings.
