Mr. Bink was a Governor of the Wega (Vega) public observatory.
In memory of this, after his death, his relatives placed an equatorial sundial with astronomic aspects on his grave.
Vega is a star in the constellation Lyra (the Lyre); it is also found on the sundial.
The summer side of the sundial shows the twelve signs of the Zodiac, together with the sun path and many other constellations.
The sun is shown on its path in the positions according to the date of birth and of death of Mr. Bink.
The summer side reads civil summer time. The winter side reads local apparent solar time.
The constellations were drawn using a stereographic projection. This is the same projection that is used to make astrolabes.
