Vertical sundial

Santpoort

Over the front door of the house "De Drie Turfjes" (the three peats) is an oval sundial in an elegantly carved and painted wooden frame.
The west declining sundial has standard-time hour and half-hour lines for 10 am to 6 (18) pm.

The sundial in itself is a simple affair, but the fresh colours make it a pretty sight in this environment.
