Vertical sundial
Eindhoven
Jan Kragten made this near-west sundial in 1995.
The sundial shows both winter and summer time, and is provided with date curves for the solstices and equinoxes, as well as for two special dates.
The pattern of the sundial is engraved into a sheet of Trespa®.
The lettering is made with adhesive letters.
An ornamental copper strip is added for a frame.
After a twelve-year’s exposure to all kinds of weather, the sundial still looks well.
