Restoration of two armillary spheres

In 2007, Gerrit Sasbrink received a commission for the restoration of two identical old armillary spheres.
The sundials are at least 80 years old.
The first photograph shows one in the old condition.

A thorough redecoration brings back the beauty.
The complementary colours of blue and gold leaf yellow add a particularly nice touch.

Placed on an appropriate base, this is really a splendid garden ornament.
