In the spring of 1989, a wrought-iron sundial was made for a west-declining wall of a house in Gorinchem.
In 2002, this sundial moved to Belgium, and had to be placed on an east-declining wall.
That is possible only by adapting the sundial, and that was done.
The photograph above shows the components after the adaptation.
The central part with the hour lines and the equation-of-time loop was completely re-done. The other components could be reused.
All components were freshly painted and gold-painted for a bright appearance.
The photograph below shows the sundial in its new location.
The sundial shows local apparent time from VII am up to III pm, divided in quarters of an hour
As an extra, a figure-of-eight loop for true noon enables reading of the equation of time.
