Year 2005
This wooden sundial was designed and built in 1974 by Marinus Hagen. Hagen was initiator in the establishment of De Zonnewijzerkring, the (Dutch) Sundial Society, in 1978.
Hagen made this sundial for his daughter, who is a pianist, and his son-in-law, a violinist.
The grand piano and the violin were the basis for the design, and the instruments are clearly recognizable.
The sundial reads Central European (Standard) Time, while an additional red line reads true noon.

The style triangle
In 2005, Jacob Borsje restored the sundial.
On their summer excursion, members of De Zonnewijzerkring could fully enjoy this sundial once more.
An earlier image of this sundial is in: Shumacher/Peitz, Sonnenuhren 3, p50
