Analemmatic sundial

At its first quinquennium, in 1983, De Zonnewijzerkring proffered a design for an analemmatic sundial to the City of Utrecht.
That sundial was realised that same year.

In the summer of 2005, the designer had the opportunity to admire the sundial from a helicopter.

During the last years of the 20th century, the sundial was in a bad state. In 2001 however, a thorough restoration was done.
