This month we present a sundial near Copenhagen, Denmark.
The designer’s name is Thyge Lauritsen
On the outskirts of Copenhagen is the Rødovre shopping mall.
The sundial is on the parking deck, near the small crowd in the picture.
It is a triple sundial with south, east, and west faces.
The upper half of each face has hour lines for standard time.
The date lines are on the lower half. There are lines for every 7.5 degree of the ecliptic, that is, about one per week.
The separation of hour and date lines give the dial faces a nicely uncrowded appearance.
Near the sundial is an explanatory sign with text and an equation-of-time graph.
