Bakkeveen polyhedral sundial
restoration continued

Sundial of the month for August 2006 reported on the restoration of the polyhedral sundial at the Bakkeveen Slotplaats.
Afterwards, the sundial was further embellished by gilding the ball and a star, and by the repair of a minor error.

On 11 June 2007, the sundial, now truly magnificent, was officially inaugurated (together with the restored Slotplaats) by Mr Nijpels, then Royal Commissioner in Friesland.
