Sundial of the month November

Vertical sundial as
inclining horizontal sundial

In the wall of the Alverna convent in Aerdenhout there was a round, west declining sundial.
It consists of two semicircular marble slabs.

During an alteration of the convent, the sundial was removed from the wall, and later laid down in a bed in the garden.
It looks like an inclining horizontal sundial now.

It is fortunate that the sundial has not disappeared, but in this strange setting it will, regrettably, no longer serve as a time indicator.
