Two round window frames of the almshouses of Teyler's Hofje in Haarlem are fitted with circular wooden sundials.
One is facing approximately northeast, the opposite one southwest.
The hour numerals run from 4 to 9 and from 10 to 8 (20) hours respectively, with a subdivision into half-hours.
Teylers Hofje was built in 1787, and the sundials are probably from the same period.
Unfortunately, when these photos were taken in the summer of 2007, there was a scaffold in front of one of the sundials.
